DR. MIOCIC, Male, 60s–70s. The town’s longtime doctor, who cares for LILY in the final stages of her illness. Professional, compassionate and matter-of-fact, with the familiarity of someone who has known this family, and this community, for years. He has the difficult responsibility of gently telling Lily’s father and grandmother that there is nothing more medically he can do, while remaining calm in the face of their grief. He has a warm, lived-in quality. DAY PLAYER.
